Fact is, that Rohl also didn't read the texts. I can't read them, only a few people can read them, because they are not written in middle Egyptian, but in an own hellenic dialect, using even a special grammar first decoded I think by Sethe.
There is one complete translation of the texts in the crypts, written in German by Wolfgang Waitkus (I have it :) ).
Should be no problem for Rohl, since German is one of the three official Egyptologic languages - most Egyptologig publicationsare still published in German,so every Egyptologist must learn German to do his job. So Rohl should have no problem reading Waitkus...
