I tell ya, the day you hieroglyphics experts apply your knowledge to the technologies we plasma physics advocates are discovering on the temple walls. Watch out - Egyptian history is going to be re-written.
I am reminded of a time when I was working at Pyramid Technology in California back in the 90s.
Pyramid built Super-Mini RISC Unix Computers for the enterprise market.
We were developing our next computer system, when a bug showed up that was threatening to sink the company - we called them 'show stoppers'.
It was a bug somewhere in the hardware.
The software team was having a meeting to discuss the problem. Everyone in the room was complaining that it was a hardware bug, not a software bug, and that the hardware team needed to fix it.
It was then our Chief Scientist Richard Hammons got up and addressed the group.
He said, "Your right, it's a hardware bug, but the hardware guys can't figure it out, and they need our help. So what say we stop pointing fingers and figure out how to help them".
And that's exactly what we did...
Maybe if we can stop pointing fingers and beating each other up with our points of view, we can find common ground and do some real broken field running... Maybe not...
Just a thought...
