Pye said the scientists were working on a way to get some of these, what appear to be nanofibers remaining in the bony matrix that snap apart from the dremel rather than get cut through(after 900 years in the ground, I might add), and the reddish deposits seen in some of the sectioned lacunae, lying in the channels' bottoms, which is also anomalous. My own theory is that these creatures are an engineered life-form and the fibers in the skull are primarily for the purpose of telepathic communication. The brain cast made from the SC skull, shown by Pye in the interview has no prefrontal cerebral cortex(the seat of emotion in humans) and has a greatly enlarged visual cortex which could function as a beefed-up computing apparatus for a creature whose eyes were big pupils. Whatever the fibers turn out to be made of, they are certainly not biodegradeable, as nature has had ample time to destroy these. The reason I think they are bound up with communication is that they do not just run here and there only, but are collected in places into nodes where they are all rolled and wrapped into balls. I feel like if they were only structural benefit for the creature, they would be really evident visibly in sectioned bone. I think a way to get at them would be to look in the solid fraction of bony precipitate obtained from DNA preparations used for analysis. They would be in the 'sludge' left from bone digestion with EDTA, or whatever can dissolve the bone. View the video, it's not a good quality video, but it's good enough to get the relevant info, as I have mentioned above. Happy hunting! Cheers.
That sounds like some kind of genetically engineered cyborg or something!?! Yes, I'm definitely getting that book. Thanks for telling me about it. Cheers.
