Moses, the son of a couple of the tribe of Levi, was hidden among the reeds by the Nile, on account of a cruel edict that all male children of Hebrews should be put to death. Moses sister watched him, till the daughter of Pharaoh saw the child who was crying, and felt for him. He was later adopted by her as her son.
