SC: I see you’re back in ‘Fantasy Land’ again.
MJT: Yes, but I'm only visiting you, Scott. ;)
SC: This isn’t ‘Fantasy Land’ – you were told that before.
MJT: I fear that your Antechamber hypothesis is going from bad to worse almost by the minute. The sketches you provided are so obviously wrong I'm surprised you posted them.
Are you interested in my opinion on what is wrong with them, or would you prefer I go away and leave you to your not-quite-wild imaginings?
SC: “Obviously wrong”? Yes – it’s all just “symbolic” to you, isn’t it.
The Ante Chamber could have operated as a counter-weight mechanism. Period. That you have difficulty in imagining how it might have functioned is entirely your problem.
MJT: A friend once told me that there is an AE line that reads: How alike are the sleeping and the dead.
This brings to mind: How often alike are the functional and the symbolic. ;)
SC: And how alike are the ‘tomb of the king’ and the ‘womb of the kingdom’.
MJT: p.s. I wrote a lengthy response to your post, Scott, but much to my annoyance IE9 crashed just as I was finishing it.
SC: That’s tough.
MJT: I wonder if the gods are trying to tell me something - such as stop banging your head against a brick wall, old chap.
SC: Well, if it was only a symbolic brick wall and not a functional brick wall, I’m sure there will be no lasting damage. But then again…….
