In a word, yes.
I am minded that none of the passages and chambers inside the Great Pyramid were ever functional.
IMO, what we can see is a symbolic tomb, but Khufu was interred elsewhere inside the Pyramid.
Of late I have started thinking that this could be true for most, if not all of the pyramids pre 5th dynasty (roughly).
It is assumed that if a king died before his pyramid was complete, then it would be left unfinished (what happened to the prematurely deceased king is not, AFAIAA, explained).
Khufu's pyramid was completed, therefore he died and was interred in his pyramid after this event.
I feel this view is wrong.
I believe that Khufu died and was interred inside his Pyramid before it was finished.
Never prove it, of course - unless and until somebody kindly dismantles the Pyramid. :)
