Of course this would still require internal ramping (plane technology at least) and or a viable leverage method to finish the job.
WE also have to keep in mind that the plateau is low in the east, rising to the west...and at the same gently rises overall from the River's towards the desert. which pretty much excludes N. and NW
I've eliminated SW because it offers no reasonable access to the supply coming from the River.
there's also a 45 degree path from the center of the North face that parallels the Escarpment..further along which is shallower(the escarpment)and thus would be more easily accessable from the river. But a Long way and uphill from the quarries
I've actually been crunching these numbers for quite some time..and have juxtapostioned countless scenarios as well of being benefit of all those who have done so before me.
I generally agree with your assesment of the possibilites....
Except for the Possible constraints of an extant causeway leading from a pre Pyramid Sphinx to ?????
Hopefullly the geologic and multi dicipline revisit of the Sphinx dating question that was supposedely in the works......
::: Scott...it's over 4 years since this was announced...I ,like you and everyone else who posts here am frustrated that this seems to have been put on the back burner. With all due respect to Andrew, the caves that are now on the front burner seem to be more politically expedient an area of investigation now:::
.....hasn't been completely forgotten
I suggest that anyone who is really interested just make a map of giza on Bristol board
and start calculating
I've tried to keep all my attempts at where within the confines of 30 degrees and less
If all goes according to plan I'll be able to do an onsite calculation sometime after the London Olympics (assuming Ragnarok is canceled of course :D )
association on these boards is the broad
misconception that what we do not know is more
significant than what we do know."
