If we knew how they did this it would answer most of my questions about how theybuilt the pyramids. Instead the answer was simply assumed and everyone forgot it was mere speculation. 150 years of contradictory evidence hasn't shaken anyone's belief.
Certainly their quarrying and rock working techniques are probably notable as well but this doesn't confound me as assembling 6 1/2 million tons of stone into a huge pile and leaving no trace of ramps does.
