. . . for whom there is no evidence whatsoever - whereas the 4th dynasty pharaoh of this name is amply attested: a Khufu who had relatives, officials, priests and estates in the ordinary way and bore in addition the names Khnum-khufu and Horus Medjedu, just as we find in the pyramid graffiti.
Never mind the fact that the cartouche as such - remember that ‘Khufu’ is a cartouche name - is not reliably attested before the reign of Seneferu.
