Please correct me if I am wrong, but from what you have just said, you haven't actually seen a cartouche representing Khufu in the very small gap between the blocks, only some quarry marks. You mention that fibre optics may be one of the only ways to get a proper shot. So, it would seem that, at the moment, the jury is still out as to whether or not these markings are sufficient proof to establish that Khufu had some input into the construction of the Great Pyramid.
Notwithstanding your busy schedule and other pursuits, of which most of us here on this board are probably quite envious, it has been approximately 10 years or so since your inspection of the questionable graffiti in the "relieving chambers," and considering that so much debate centres on the validity of these markings, why has it taken so long for you, or anyone else for that matter, to attempt to discover the "hidden cartouche" and prove or disprove Khufu's claim of proprietorship?
