Great post! I wish I had written it.

But you see, the INTEGRATION that you mention is unfortunately even more unlikely to happen than precise dating of the sphynx...

Bacause the guys that you mentioned - and those that you don't - have all produced doctorates, published papers, posted on Internet or even printed Real Books in which theey claim that they and only they have the right solution. To come to an Integration would to some of them mean the same as saying "I was wrong". Which is a hard thing to do, being human and all that :))
