There, you have hit on what I see as the primary flaw with Creationism theory, and by extension with Big Bang/evolution...whether God created heaven and Earth in 7 days(whatever days were before the Sun arrived), or whether the Big Bang 'just happened'....logic leads us to inquire what came even BEFORE?
If a god/designer/intervener began everything we see around us, that designer HAD to have a beginning of it's own, and what brought it into being, had a beginning, and so on , ad infinitum.
If the Bang 'just happened' and the universe was infinitely compressed, WHY was it compressed, and WHAT was doing it? And why did it suddenly explode into being? Is it a repeating cycle? Do we shrink/explode regularly?
For both, we have theory/belief systems that affect/limit our attitude and understanding. It may be that our scientiffic theories are studying a designer's mechanism/method of operation. Im suppose, we may just have to wait until we 'meet our maker' and ask then...unless he tells us to go to hell for being impertinent!! (Yes, that's intended to be cheeky.)
