(read from left to right) .....
Take these two verses using the words mighty men:
Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
here mighty men is the word gibbor which is the word used for giants
Exodus 15:15 Then the chiefs of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.
Here the word mighty men is :
1a) ram (as food)
1b) ram (as sacrifice)
1c) ram (skin dyed red, for tabernacle)
2) pillar, door post, jambs, pilaster
3) strong man, leader, chief
4) mighty tree, terebinth
Clearly they have completely different meanings as to the transliterated word mighty. The word ayil is never used to describe giants whereas gibbor is ( remember that the height of these gibbor is mentioned in the bible and they are clearly more than just very tall people).
The verse did say gibbor and not ayil....
