Hi Sandy Jesse,
No one knows for sure how long it took to build each Pyramid. It's just an educated guess. Many believe the AE didn't even build the Pyramids. Currently, I am of the mind they did, though remain open to other theories. The 1-3 stones is in the framework for allowing time off. 5 days a week, 8-10 hours per day, ect. Lessening the restrictions extends the years required. You can adjust those figures depending on your ability to deliver the materials required. Only so many men can fit on a ramp. And how many men would you suggest, was needed to whip them all each day?
If the AE were stupid mindless stone pullers, then maybe whips, as you suggest, would seem appropriate. If they had effective systems in place, which eliminated much of their workload, then there would be no need for whips, and high numbers of men. Which is what Mark Lehner uncovered.
There was not massive amounts of Men, and Women building the Pyramid(s).
