In these articular discussions I can usually discern those who have actually worked in large scale materials handling from those who have not.
Anyone who dismisses Manpower as the Prime force in both working with and moving stone in the ancient world is dreaming.
The question becomes as much a question of organisation and infrastructure, as one of technology.
When it coms to technology
there is what we know they had/knew
what we think they had/knew
what we think they might have had/knew
and
what we have/know.
So take Audrey's professional experience and apply the "What we KNOW the had/knew" and build on that
If Sam or Steve or any of the other usual suspects would do that, these discussions would be a lot more productive.
