I disagree that the Nile water was undrinkable during the inundation.
Fill up a jug. let it sit in the shade. most of the sediment settles.
as with most things, I find resorting to absolutes skews realistic conclusions

Hi Warwick,
So if the Nile water is bad to drink now, what assurances can you state, it wasn't bad back then. They still had agriculture and cattle polluting the water. Maybe even more so, as the population today, isn't living up against the Nile any longer, and yet as of today... don't go near the water or drink it.
Bacteria is not going to settle to the bottom of a jug.
