Hello Dr. Troglodyte,
I am so appreciative , of the "Geology and Paleoenvironment of the Oligocene Jebel Qatrani Formation and Adjacent Rocks, Fayum Depression, Egypt "
After High school, I choose Geology as my College Major. Unfortunately, there were already too many applicants. Classes were full. So it was Theater Arts, and later a Music Major.
I managed to load a terrain height map generator, as a plugin for Photoshop. It uses Google Earth to make a 2D grayscale photo, and it is from that, a height map is generated. You have to tell the program what area is at what height. It then associates all the other gray tones in relationship. I will be on the conservative side for the height.
I am not that impressed. May be better than nothing. Someone other than me, would need to testify to it's accuracy. I should contact the software Company to see, if I can garner more information.

Google Earth is the only current tool I have access to.
Great book,
Thank you.
