Hi all...
Here is a Nova Movie: This Old Pyramid (Nova - 1992) [www.facebook.com]
They show, you can move a stone with men and ropes. The size of their rope was impressive. Roller or wood inlaid paths were demonstrated.
Discussed at -40.20 within the movie. Mark stresses how the men were so surprised it worked. There is no way, those men are moving the Tura stone, in an effective manner. Ali ump, Ali ump, Ali ump...and it moves each time 8". LOL Employ rollers, or better yet inlay the ramp with wood planks. A bit better. Though is it really enough?
After two hours of levering, success. So, levering failed. Rodger had a 21 day building schedule. Rodgers does not mention the angle of his ramp. So, by using Sketchup, a closer inspection reveals 1.5 degree angle. At that rate, his ramp would wrap around Khafre's Pyramid 86 times. Khafre's Pyramid is 448 feet tall. (4 x 1.5 = 5.2 feet of rise). In addition, that angle is so low, it would hang over your head by 5.2 feet. I hope those AE were really short men.
This only reveals, Ramps don't work, and the process is to slow, to be of any viable consideration.
