Not an endorsement of Steve's idea, but I see no reason they could not have used copper sheeting in this way if needed:
1st Dynasty:
Hi Thanos5150,
You would just pour molten copper onto a polished flat surface.
Example: Take a piece of Basalt. Chisel cut a flat shallow channel the width needed, and polish. Now, take the Basalt and place over a bed of hot coals. Once the stone is good and hot, pour your molten copper into the channel. It will flow, and the heated Basalt will aid in allowing the copper to seek an even thickness. Return in the morning, and remove the sheet.
That process is even easier than casting chisels.
