But there is an actual "ramp" leading from the eastern side of the main quarry right up toward the so-called "trial passages". This is what actually exists rather than Egyptological beliefs about superstitious bumpkins. rather than looking at what exists they cast it aside as irrelevancies and talk about what would be there if it still existed after all these centuries. Reisner found this "ramp" in exactly the place I looked for it for five years!!!!!!!! I knew there was a ramp here because it had to be here but it doesn't show up well in the satellite pictures and Egyptologists tend to just ignore it. It intersects the causeway mere yards from the canal that took spent water to the cliff face.
These are actual facts but Egyptologists deal chiefly in dreams. They have interpreted all data only in terms of their assumptions so actual "ramps" that aren't in the right place for dragging stones are ignored. Vaterite in the walls is ignored. Steps are misinterpreted AND ignored. Anomalies of all sorts are ignored. Caves full of mud in the Osiris Shaft are ignored. The Tomb of the Birds is ignored. Everything Budge ever discovered or surmised is ignored. The tombs of the builders are ignored and any cultural context outside the "book of the dead" is invisible.
The fact that there was a perfectly good causeway exactly where they needed a funicular and exactly where the evidence says there was a funicular might be important!!! Evidence can be misleading but USUALLY IT IS NOT. Usually the only thing we have to determine reality is evidence and logic. Even math is a form of logic so usually the world even reflects mathematics. Sometimes two plus two really equals four. Maybe Egyptology is right but if they are right then why can't they show it? HOW and WHY would they drag steps up ramps? It doesn't even sound right. If they used funiculars on the causeway as you believe then why are even better evidenced funicular runs really funiculars?
If there was a "ramp" leading to the pyramid right where the decision had to be made to go downhill to the river or up the ramp DIRECTLY to the pyramid then why go the long way round? Why go down and then twice as far back up just because going down is easy?
I think almost everyone has fallen for some of Egyptological beliefs. They're the experts and they convinced themselves so why not everyone else including the alts? Go with the actual evidence and it's hard to go wrong.
Have you read Charles Rigano's work? He basically nailed this but guess who Egyptology ignored?
