Look...you missed this one even by your own standards which is why I rang the alarm bell. I whole-heartedly support the Heretic Society at GrahamHancock.com. I want alternative historians to succeed in doing that which academia has relinquished: To be bold. But being bold does not excuse us from being reckless. If we condemn academic peer review as intellectual inbreeding then we should create a better vetting system. And this vetting begins with us. We ourselves must take resposibility for our mistakes.
In this case, I urge you to look at the Hieroglyphic text so that you will see with your own eyes how Saw Palace came to be....and when you see it, you yourself will laugh. For it requires no knowledge of the lexicon or grammar, no insight into how ancient people transferred their experience into writing, no analysis of any kind.
This is simply an honest mistake by Sethe who did not have the benefit of the archaelogical context to recognize what he was looking at. He simply played it safe and did what you keep advising...to take it concretely. He saw a blade and he saw a building with what looked to him as if saw-cut which we now know were poles because "we" found the actual holes!
