Looks like without rotating pulley's you'll still have friction there.
Also, when you use compound pulley systems, you can reduce your weight by 50%, but you double your time because you have to pull double the rope distance.
So on the balance, with a friction pulley and double the rope pulling distance, your gains are marginal I suspect.
