The king is an embarrassment to the entire human race. Future people are unlikely to consider our beliefs in fine suits from our perspective. They'll see us most unfavorably. We have a "science" that stopped doing much science when Petrie died. Petrie didn't measure the pyramids because he wanted to provide number crunchers and numerologists with fodder for hobbies. He measured them because it was the only science he could apply with 19th century technology. Why did Egyptology stop studying the pyramids and take to the occult and dusting bones? They are trying to parse an entire civilization.
Maybe people in the future will be more tolerant and won't consider us backward and superstitious. Maybe they won't guffaw at our strange beliefs in superstition and its effectiveness but I doubt it. Many of us will have lived most of our lives in an age that will be considered benighted for centuries to come.
