Maybe we are talking past each other?
Are you saying there were no white Tura cap stones? I feel they would have put the cap stones in place as they progressed upwards, on each level. If they built from the center outward, laying down greased tracks as they went along, it seems reasonable they would finish each level, in it's entirety. It would be many time more difficult, if not impossible, to place them later. Returning and setting the Cap Stones, would require reassembling rigging. Without the Cap Stones in place, you have no way to check if you are maintaining the desired angle.
If that was the case, you would never see 4 steps. Are you claiming you have an easier way, than my design, by hauling stones up 4 steps?If so, show me how that would be done, vs one single direct ascension to the top.
