I disagree.
Every great pyramid is apparently stepped. Even several small pyramids are stepped. There are no known pyramids that are not stepped. The only logical interpretation of the gravimetric data for G1 is that it depicts 5 distinct steps which are each 81' 3" (average).
Until such time as there is evidence any great pyramid is not stepped the only logical conclusion is that they are probably all stepped and G1 is stepped. This is the state of the art in Egyptology and has been since 1989 regardless of how widely known it is or who interpreted the data badly. Indeed, there is a virtual certainty that the infrared data that is not being released also depicts steps. I grant it's possible that there are other sufficient reasons they refuse to release it as well and that it depicts steps is hardly certain but there is still a great likelihood that the top of the first and second steps are heating these regions because the pyramid was built like a blast furnace stove in this area.
There is ample data to show this without more corroboration. There is also sufficient logic to that says they mustta had some means to lift stones that was easy and is consistent with logic and evidence. Steps are it! It's highly unlikely that aliens or ANY other unevidenced means were used to lift the stones.
Until we have more data or contradictory evidence all we can say is they mustta had real steep ramps. Whether these ramps were 52 degrees or 70 degrees is not critically important until they actually get and then release data. You can't save "ramps" by living in the 1880's. Ramps are dead. "Long live inclined plane technology".

Man fears the pyramid, time fears man.
