This publication of Lepsius dates to 1842 and so precedes his expedition. The presence of these particular illustrations (A–E) tends to confirm what Markus Pössel and I had conjectured, that the Lepsius version was based on Hill and Perring and not on new drawings made in Egypt.
Hill also copied the group which Hawass appears to have misread as a date. In his 1:1 “facsimile” it is plainly an example of the “White Crown” ˤpr name based on the royal name H̱nmw Ḫwj=f-wj (as spoken by Hawass).
