No one debates that Khufu did very extensive work on the pyramid at that point in time, which is totally supported by the radiocarbon dating.
What's up for debate is what was standing on the site when Khufu was born. Was there already a pyramid there which Khufu proceeded to restore to glory, or did Khufu create all that glory during his lifetime (with quite a bit of help from a few other people)?
I don't see enough to rule out the pyramids were there before Khufu, and I see significant evidence to think the restoration story is the best fit.
IMO, this only puts a slight kink in your theory, which is wonderful and I am still working through and digesting.
