No not studying in any great detail. But in Ancient Egypt the hekat is a measure of grains and liquids, most likely beer. The hekat is further divided into 320 roe in the New Kingdom. Using a cubit of 20 34/55 inches a hekat of beer is a little less than 292 1/6 cubic inches equal to about 162 fluid ounces equal to a little more than 10 modern 16oz bottles of beer. Each roe is equal to roughly 1/2 ounce. LOL, that is about the extent of my studies on ancient weights and measures.
