I’ve been reading Marshall Claggetts book and it seems in the early calendar, there were 12 night time hours and 12 day time hours every day leading to a varying length of the hour. As such, the notion that the Djadjaemankh story’s reference to the lake being 12 cubits and 24 cubits when folded may relate to an every day event. I’ll have to re-read the story to see if any other interpretation makes sense.
