...and maybe adding some too.
For the years surrounding the purported time of Khufu, March 2 and November 20 are the dates when the Sun shines down the upper south shaft, giving 264 days total from one to the other. What this alludes to is the dates of conception and birth of Khufu, memorialised in his temple.
In 2556BCE the Moon will be rising when the Sun hits midday, with the Moon nearly equidistant between Leo and Pair of Stars; Mars is minutes away from setting, resting within the Boat constellation; Venus is with the Sun; Mercury and Jupiter are about 15o in front of the Sun; and Saturn is passing through Selkis away from Leo.
While the year may not be the one for Khufu because most folk kind of accept that he was in his prime when construction of the temple was begun, it does show the relevance of solar bodies being in certain locations which may have an impact on his temple because of astrology.
If the year is not the right one, then certain tales about Khufu may allude to which year is the right one...depending on where solar bodies are. About 24 minutes after the Sun has set, Sirius crosses the southern meridian at a latitude of aprx. 39o 09’. Petrie has the southern shaft of the middle chamber showing some 38o 30’ as its angle, which may still sight upon Sirius. In my own pyramid analysis, I have it at c. 39o 25’.
How about we accept that the southern shafts sight upon the Sun and Sirius as they cross the southern meridian, then we can work out where the planets should be according to other sources of information, and then we can pinpoint the exact year this identifies.
Well...this may not be some unnecessary obs after all...but added to my winter solstice obs and certain parts of the pyramid's construction involving overlay of Sun to pyramid, there is potential the 'temple' observes Re and Khufu at the same time, while also incorporating Sirius/Isis: I do still say that c. 12,000BCE identifies a greater plan involving Sirius at its lowest culmination as it crosses the southern meridian, identified as the floor level of the middle chamber and then extending to the highest culmination of Sirius in 627CE being the exact half height of the pyramid. This is half the Precessional cycle.
Well, a bit more sifting through legends and astronomy for me...especially concerning what BC has identified.
Cheers
