No worries.
I am ABSOLUTELY genuine and serious about my musings and quest. Don't feel in the least bit bad about me delusional. A week ago, I would have bet my house someone saying these things were delusional, so I perfectly understand that reaction. Heck, I can't count the number of times an hour I still have that reaction, so I don't blame you in the least. I very much appreciate you being able to see through that reaction to see I am indeed serious, think I am based in objective reality, and point to those things when requested. That, some good will, and a little humor can do wonders for a conversation.
It's ironic you mention me founding a religion, because many of the people in my unit when I was in the military thought that my friend and I were going to leave the service and become cult leaders. We both left the service over 30 years ago, he went into genetics, I did my thing, and we lost touch. FWIW, I will stand in front of a train before I will found a religion, especially after this insight. Religion is a tool of the gods, and not something individuals should follow. I want everyone to be an individual, which means the LAST thing I want to do is contribute yet ANOTHER religion to fuck things up. Nope, religions are for other people, NOT FOR ME!!!
I can't help but plot a history of homo sapiens where I am work out all the details, then only show the narrative from the humans' standpoint rather than the gods. What I do with that plot remains to be seen. A story of how the gods became immortal would be pretty good, but there are much more available details for the homo sapiens story. Low hanging fruit first is rarely the worst call.
If you could, I would really appreciate it if you could comment on my first fleshed out draft of my theory Homo Deus. I've already added about as much material into my second draft, including a new name since that one has been used in books already in a different manner.
I figure that if I've got a theory that wraps all these things up into a nice box with a bow, I have to explore it to see how far it goes.
