There's no evidence heavy sledges (other than the dndndr-boat) were used at Giza or ANY great pyramid site. However there is evidence that such sledges and their technology were known to the Egyptians of this era. There is simple logic to support their existence as well; they moved heavy weights > the most efficient way of moving heavy weight with no motive force is to put it on a sled > they mustta had sledges.
The problem with the "ramp theory" isn't "sledges" it is "ramps".

Is there some malfunction here.
ALL ramps are by definition sloped. Even a "ramp" used for loading or unloading a boat is called a "gang plank" since as the boat moves up and down it is sometimes level. And we still don't drag cargo off a boat with teams of men.
What is peoples' obsession with ramps? There are ramps in every single picture of every single great pyramid that were actually used to built that same pyramid but we can't see these ramps because they don't fit our existing beliefs. Every great pyramid had a "ramp" up from the causeway but we can't see this either for the same reason.
Modern people are truly stinky footed bumpkins!!! We are homo omnisciencis and we can see what we choose. We can see ONLY what we choose.

Ramps aren't real, but the low road certainly is.
And it is owned by Egyptology and most of their supporters.

I am not altruistic enough to do this as a public service.

Man fears the pyramid, time fears man.
