I think it was when someone re-checked the measurements from G1 that it was discovered that the finished base would not comply with the master plan, G2 is now around 98 ft South of where it would have been if they had used that outside entrance as the final passageway that would normally have opened up some way up the North face.
This then suggests , in my opinion , that G2 is in the right place after a mistake was discovered in its placing from G1.
Lehner says the entrance to G2 is some 39 ft offset from its center, im assuming he means the center of the passageway as well, i would like to refine that measure to read 38.986 ft.
The reason for this slight adjustment is what then can be found in the measure from this entrance center to the East side of G2.
Here's what can be found, G2's half base in feet = 353.146 ft now if we then subtract the offset distance for the entrance from the center of G2 , then we are left with 314.16 ft and those numbers are of course Pi related.
