Gilgamesh is very important in the history of literature as is the Bible very important for the history of religion and literature. So I completely agree with you on that Audrey. However, like the “building of the pyramids” the builders and writers did not leave us with the explanatory blueprints and cliff note which explain actually what is literature and what is history. ThAt is the problem as I see it. But I love talking about it.
I think that Lse expect a lot more from his theorizing than that he is just speculating. Again, I love reading his theorizing.
