It is a fact that the tri-lobed disc has all of the properties of a floating oil lamp that went out when water wasn't falling on it.
I am NOT assuming this is the lamp they described, I am merely saying this might be an early manifestation of a device that was used to alert the men to report to work.
Egyptology has been dealing in opinion, speculation, and beliefs for so long you can't recognize facts when they bite you on the nose. You can't recognize a fact unless it has a long string of et als and a bibliography. Facts are real. Egyptology is based on the opinions that superstitious and changeless people dragged tombs up ramps. Where they have opinion, I have facts and evidence like gravimetric scans and tri-lobed discs.
