take a look at Bill Wilkinson's work in the context of 96000 imperial feet and pay attention to what John Michell said about the UK Sacred landscape. Callanish was where Thom first started his investigation.

'Also in the summer of 2015, a book was published by Northern Earth Books by Peter Harris and Norman Stockdale entitled ‘Astronomy & Measurement in Megalithic Architecture’. This detailed a proposed new measurement, the Harris Stockdale Megalithic Foot (HSMF). I sent the details to David Kenworthy and the result of this is documented in the discussions on the Megalithic Portal forum pages.
The metrology will arguably be the most controversial aspect of the evidence produced below. David Kenworthy in his books clearly shows that Imperial measurements are being used and why they are being used. He also proves Alexander Thom’s much-maligned Megalithic yard of 2.72 feet and how it is part of the same system (See Appendix A). Indeed, he also proves the HSMF is a key part of that system.'
