Two versions

the first assuming the calculation is in imperial feet

22/7 / 8 x 3 = 1.178571429 this is 66/56

the second converting to inches

1.178571429 x 12 = 14.14285714 x 20/9 = 31.42857143

So 14.14285714 is 10 root 2 in inches and this in feet is 1.178571429 x 8/3 to get Pi.

as Magisterchessmut said
As an addendum to this inquiry of the application of Pi values to areas instead of circumferences, I would like to point out that the first mentioned derivative of the MY at 272.25, being 1/8th of the Old Scottish bushel unit of 2178 cu/ins., does factor into an equivalent 2/1 ratio to 385. Or very nearly so as, 385sq./272.25sq. x 9801/9800 = 2.
'

Look at what happens when root 2 is multiplied by 56

14.14285714 x 56 = 792 inches this is 66 imperial feet, one imperial chain.

So the chain is 56 x root 2 as used when the sekhed is 14/11.

So using feet a different relationship exists between the circumference and root 2.

Use the foot as root 2 units the circumference is x 8/3 and use the inch the circumference is x 20/9.

There are 4480 root 2 units in a mile this is 80 x 56.

5280 / 1.178571429 = 80 x 56

63360 / 14.14285714 = 80 x 56

Stonehenge 897.60 feet has 761.60 units of 1.178571429 / 56 = 13.6 units between each posthole in the Aubrey a much more satisfactory measurement and in units discovered by Alexander Thom.

It is all very logical to use root 2 as a unit of translation, Pi is not required.
