I think Jim is on to something with fibonacci Pi and radius of the Earth as 7920 miles.

First off there are 7920 inches in 10 chains of 660 feet.

660 feet is 600 saxon feet so a base 60 system.

Fibonacci pi is stated as 3.14181818r

2 Pi r is 7920 x 2 x 3.14161616r = 24883.20

Michell did not use fibonacci Pi but it works with the canon beautifully.

Michell calculated the meridian circumference at 24883.20 miles.

So how does this number work
24883.2 / 144 = 172.8
172.8 / 144 = 1.2 feet
1.2 feet is 14.4 inches.
