Well, let’s hope that is a long way off David. Taking good care of ourselves each day is the best way to ensure that. But, of course, accidents happen,
“Let me also point out that it was the gods that taught their belief system to the Ancient Egyptians, not the other way around. ”
The Egyptian kings were considered ‘living gods’, so in that sense you are right. But they had the help of the priesthood and burocracy.
“They taught the existence of a Creator in the form of a triad (in both Egypt and Sumer - consider why these advanced aliens didn't teach evolution if it were true - remember Cherion was a benevolent god who taught the same thing), an afterlife, that they would meet the Creator there and that there would be a judgment. ”
Yes! Osiris, ISIS, and Horus. The trinity which should be quite familiar to Christians.
“The original pyramid was a funeral mastaba for their dearly departed god. So, even though neither the Revisionists or Egyptologists believe this 'religion' the Egyptologists still teach it and the gods themselves - who taught the complicated mummification process for a reason - believed it. ”
Interesting points, it does appear that Egyptian religion forms the basis for Western theologies.
“Even Aliens know the Universe can not create itself out of nothing. ”
Well said, you are a student of Parmenides, I see. Me too.
“Entertain, for a moment, the scenario as to what happens when the gods return and, lo and behold, they believe there is a Creator.
Who do you think they are gonna talk to - Revisionists or Egyptologists?”
I think they would prefer the Egyptologists, since they are the one’s doing Archaeology in Egypt! Otherwise, I don’t think there would be much of a difference. Some gods would prefer science , some would prefer storytelling. Just like people!
Thanks David, very interesting!
