I applaud your objective, but, surely, the way to demonstrate that Thom was right is to establish that the megalithic yard truly exists in the data and to explain why archaeologists failed to find it. That is to say, the archaeology has to provide the ‘proof’. That proof does not lie in numerical musing, fascinating though this may be.
Megalithic measure would be what the builders decided it was - not necessarily what Thom or anybody else guesses it might have been. If it’s there, the stones themselves are likely to tell us. Maybe Thom didn't properly interpret what he heard, and his conclusions may thus be a shaky foundation for future building.
