Hi All
did Thom say those things , well I am not going to reference them but yes he did, I think he knew that he had been stitched up because his findings were just too radical for archaeologists to accept. He ended up being laughed at and ridiculed. He took it all with great dignity.
For me proving the megalithic yard became an obsessive challenge.
the proof has now been pared down to something very simple.
Thom discovered a system of measurement
10 megalithic inches 8.16 imperial inches
40 in a yard of 32.64 inches
1000 in 10 rods of 816 inches
divide this by 34 and multiply by 33 and get the parallel imperial system
100th of the imperial chain is 8.16 x 33/34 = 7.92 inches
40 x 7.92 = 316.8 imperial inches the root unit of Michell's canon of ancient measure
100 x 7.92 = 792 inches the imperial chain which can be pegged out as a circle with 100 links and a diameter of 21 imperial feet. The sacred base 100 circle as Thom suggested. This is the Aubrey circle when a unit of 2 of Thom's rods is the base unit being 13.6 imperial feet. 66 units / 21 is the Aubrey.
So Thom's chain is 816 inches and is 1000 megalithic inches so the two systems are replicas of each other
Cloister can slag me off to his heart's content but this is the evidence he continually ignores, like a horse wearing blinkers.
Dune has it using the 2.72 inch unit.
36278 / 2.72 = 13337.5 but the megalithic yard is variable and Dune's version is 2.7207 /36276 x 36278 = 2.72085
36278 / 2.72085 = 13333.333r a constant within the design of the GP.
36276 / 2.7207 = 13333.333r This is Hugh's version and the solution is understanding what the 0.0007 of one imperial foot represents. This is what Hugh and I are writhing about.
This is what happens if inches are used
36278 / (2.72085 x 12 = 32.6502) = 1111.111r the UOIO a constant within the design of the GP.
Why is this 0.0007 of a foot so important?
Because when used at Avebury it unlocks Thom's analysis of 521 rods of 68 imperial feet because the unit that actually needs to be used is 521 x 2.7207 x 2.5 = 3543.71175
The rest can been discovered using the modern NASA website because the above number represents 10 lunar years because Avebury is a Temple to the Eclipse.
354.71175 / 120 = 29.53093125 this is the exact length of the mean Lunation period on the NASA website when 0.53093125 is converted to hours and minutes.
They knew the mean lunation period because the lunar month varies with time, it is just unbelievable but Thom's analysis does not lie and it is supported by Jim Wakefield's paper 'From the Rollrights to Stonehenge'.
The version of Pi being used when Hugh's actual megalithic yard is used is 3.14159 Pi accurate to 5 sig figs.
The calculation is 3543.713053 / 94 x 12 = 1128.( Jim's number 94)
Thom was scrupulous with his measurement of 521 megalithic rods, why when 520 would have been so much more logical?
You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
This is what Robin Heath wrote in his fantastic little book 'Sun, Moon and Earth'
'Islamic and Jewish calendar traditions recognise that it takes 33 Solar years to complete 34 Lunar years'
33 imperial base the Sun
34 Thom's base the Moon.
