Many people seem hooked up on 1 value for pi 22/7 when it is crystal clear more than 1 is used.
In the drawings presented here it is seen clearly. Yes 280 x 22/7 or by your method of construction produces a base of 440 rc but what happens when you inscribe a circle into that base 440 x 22/7 = 1382.857143 a terribly uneven number that no self respecting architect would be happy with but the clue comes when you look at a quarter of the circle 345.7142857.
You see it 345.6 x 2 = 691.2 socket side in Indus feet 9123.84 inches 760.32 imp feet. Petrie gives 9123.9 for south side.
The value for pi is Fibonacci value 864/275 = 3.1418181818 or also written 34.56/11.
And so the 2 approximates complement each other.
There are other easily seen values David pointed out Dune's it can also be written 732/233 = 3.14163 that one is used in the pyramid of the sun mexico height 233 imp feet base 732 imperial feet.
