You know whoever designed the Giza complex really did a job. If your standing on the equator and the earth does a complete rotation in 24 hours your back at the same spot, so to speak, and travelled 24,901.2 miles.


However if you camp out at Giza, very nearly 30 degrees north, then you only travel 21,600 miles or 10 times the diameter of the moon.
