Hi Jacob and Jim

as you know I am a big fan of Jim's paper 'Rollrights to Stonehenge' and also of Jacob's fractional approach to Egyptian calculations even if we somehow always seem to get on different pages.

I have spent a long time working on Jim's outputs because he seems very close to the design. Also Dune.

It is possible to show that these numbers were actually deliberately calculated based on mathematical ratios that are based on astronomical counting periods. Jim's paper shows this and the reason is eclipse prediction.

The version of Pi Dune has found at the second pyramid is 22/7 x 2499/2500 = 3.1416.

3.141818181818r /100 x 99 = 3.1104

3.1104/23040 = 1.35 / 5 = 0.27 (27 is 3x3x3)

This is very deliberate and 3x3x3x3 = 81 the denominator of Egyptian pi.

Is the base side 440 cubits or feet, well if the foot is the same length as the cubit then it is both because these units are variables and there are set ratios to identify them if Hugh franklin's work is followed. I am in the process of writing a book with Hugh called 'from Stonehenge to Giza' following for the most part Hugh's workings.

If the GP base side is divided by 13333.333r then the variable megalithic foot is produced for Example

36276 / 13333.333r = 2.7207 in feet so to actually get the unit in inches the base only needs to be divided by 13333.3333r / 12 and this is 1111.11111r the UOIO giving 32.6484 inches.

The variable megalithic yard using 36278 is / 1111.111 = 32.6502
and 36266.666r gives Thom's megalithic yards as 32.64

This is the Hugh Franklin megalithic yard.

To gat the Hugh Franklin Cubit the HFC 36276 is divided by 1760 = 20.61136 the variable cubit.

The ratio between the cubit and the megalithic yard is always 1760/1111.111r = 1.584 and this is in my book the eclipse and it is called the Venus unit because it represents 0.3 of one day.

The units are variables and the ratios between them are fixed and that is what Hugh and I are writing about.

It is very difficult to understand but the ratios between the units are the keys.

In terms of understanding real Pi using fractions and 100/99 Pi works out as ((132000000 - 52800 )/ 132000000 ) x 22/7) as 3.1416 and
((132000000 - 53333.333r) /132000000) x 22/7 being just less than Pi. In the middle is Pi to 5 significant figures.

They didn't know moden pi but this is how they pinned down their square roots and versions of Pi using the canon of ancient measure. They closed in on Pi from above and below till the difference between the two numbers was fractionally insignificant. They did it with root 2, root 3 and root 5 and also Pi.

The canon is a massively expanded version of 22/7 as 132000000/42000000, taking 99 units of 533.333r off the 132000000 gives Pi as 3.1416 and 100 units falls just below real Pi. The denominator does not change.
