We don't find them because we don't look for them. The evidence all exists. At the very least there is no evidence there couldn't have been geysers. My viewpoint may be unique but I'm prepared to take the ancients at the literal meanings of their words. If and when I find a literal meaning that is contradicted by nature or logic I'll get back to you.

You know that's what alabaster and travertine are.
