For serious discussion of the controversies, approaches and enigmas surrounding the origins and development of the human species and of human civilization. (NB: for more ‘out there’ posts we point you in the direction of the ‘Paranormal & Supernatural’ Message Board).
This is exactly what Open Mind was talking about but I'll respond anyway.

Dressing it up in fancy words and listing et als and books to read changes nothing at all.
EVERY Egyptologist believes they used ramps or some other brutish means to lift the stones.
EVERY Egyptologist believes the people were highly superstitious.
EVERY Egyptologist believes the great pyramids were tombs.
They use the same tactics and nearly the same words to say essentially the same things. "If you want to understand the pyramid look away from it" "There is no fact until an Egyptologist has signed off on it" "The people were made strong by shared beliefs" "Egyptian civilization and religion lasted for 3000 years" "we'll never know how the pyramids were built unless we find the blue prints" It just goes on ad nauseum as they cite the same discredited sources and refuse to look for facts.
Why do they get peoples' support? Why does anyone assume they know anything about the builders? Why doesn't everyone demand that modern knowledge and techniques are used to solve the questions.
You may be standing on the shoulders of giants but they have their heads buried in the sand of the ruts of 19th century assumptions. Shake off the sand and demand some data and facts.

Man fears the pyramid, time fears man.
