I think the idea that Graham suggests about how you have to wait for a generation to "Die Off" applies to the Egyptian Authorities in this case the most.
When so many of you spend so much time under the illusion that these apologists might be nurturing a secret openness to new ideas, "But only when one brilliant person finally convinces them" then you convince yourself that you have the power to logically argue to a child that bedtime is a good thing. There's no 'waking up'. Imagine how interesting that post string would be.
But taking on the Egyptian Authorities, to explore anything outside the Egyptology ideas is akin to sacrilege against the Summi Muslim faith. So essentially, you can be denied based on a closed mind, as well as be strung up and destroyed in an effort to defend their faith. And anything less than a direct attack on you can be perceived as dabbling in the occult and actively pursing alliance with Eblis (Muslim Satan). And this reaction in many cases will have nothing to do with the individual's actual belief, and more a position required as a representative of an overall culture that demands it to maintain support. Perfect system.
So respect the closed system of old school Egyptology enabled by the 'good Muslim' and leave them alone to stagnate in exclusivity. As fun as it is to continue feeding them more rope to hang themselves, its also the perfect marketing approach to scare off the next brave contributor - 'is all I'm saying.
