Over the years I have read manybooks, watched as many documentariesas I could, and back in 1963 I was there, going in with a group, up the gallery, under the *portcullis* then bending low to go through that opening into the King's Chamber. I was alone in there for about five minutes and I stood waiting for some mystic message to arrive, but of course there was no such thing!! It was just so fascinating to now that I was standing in a place which had been built about 4000 years ago. It was similar to the experience of standing in the middle of Stonehenge when I was a child, long before they controlled people going wherever they liked.
What I am particularly interested in is why you would want it to be something it is not. What possible benefit could it be to you personally, or to the world in general, for the Great Pyramid to be something it is not? All ideas of it being an electricity generator and goodness knows what else remain entirely imaginative - and yes, I have read some of the stuff which says it is.
Can you analyse your own feelings and beliefs and say what it is that makes you want it to be something mysterious?
