Hi stephen
i didn't know any of that so thanks for posting it. It is tremedously revealing and makes you realsie that these numbers are very significant across diverse cultures. my research has been limited to the UK but the work of Hugh Franklin has drawn me to Giza, anf Jim of course.
5920 the Scottish Mile divides by 111( possibly the holy rood) to give the sacred eclipse system 5333.3333r.
T think this measure of 111 or 3 x 37 was very significant within the Pictish culture pre Roman. Is it not interesting that after the Romans had sacked the Druids at Anglesey they went after the Picts with seemingly limitless resources building Hadrian's wall and the Antoinine wall over generations. it all ended in abject failure with one of the most prized legions disappearing into thin air on the east side of Scotland. Obviously the Picta rae descended from the builders of the Orkney monuments.
5280 / 99 gives 53.333r as does the Welsh system as 5120 / 96 = 53.333r so the were all using variants of the same system.
