This time comparing the ancient metre with another one, Jim's saxon metre 3.3 feet used at the Aubrey circle in inches 39.60.
39.60 - 39.375 = 0.225
39.60 / 0.225 = 176
39.375 / 0.225 = 175
Both these units work with Pi as 22/7
176 / 22 x 7 = 56 to give a diameter
175 x 22 / 7 = 550 to give a base 11 circumference
